I'm back! As you can see I managed to take a lot of pictures, I hope you didn't get tired of scrolling through them. Oh and if you're wondering what the weird looking thing on the plate is, it's a deep fried mars bar me and my sister tried- it was surprisingly yummy but not as exciting as we expected, god knows what that was haha!
Me and my family stayed in a travel lodge which was uh, a little grimey but it was close to the center- we could see the castle through our window so that made it okay! On our first day we had a stroll around to get a feel of the place and then went up the Scott monument, the view was fantastic but the spiral staircase up to it was so tiny which meant a few awkward moments of squeezing past strangers. Friday we walked around a bit more and went shopping, and then on Saturday it was the Edinburgh College of Art open day which is why we originally planned to go to Edinburgh. My sister is considering applying there- it generally looks like a very good place to study if anyone is interested!
Our last day was the Sunday (we travelled back Monday) and that's the day we had a trip to Edinburgh zoo. So, we had a time slot already booked to see the pandas and we were all REALLY excited.... and then all of a sudden the disappointment came when we arrived and were told that we couldn't see them. Just our luck haha, but overall we still had a good day and the weather was brill too!
I didn't really want to come back home if I'm being totally honest, work and college doesn't sound as exciting as going to the zoo or wandering around taking pictures of stunning buildings! I went out on the Monday night and didn't get in till 6.00am which was a stupid idea as I had college today and it did NOT make life drawing any more fun than it usually is /sarcasm/. I'm suffering for it now - I managed to bruise my elbow and my whole body aches when I move, ouch!
